About Us

Our Purpose

At the Bunnelle Foundation, we take a three-pronged approach to our work:

1.) We make grants to nonprofit organizations that help us meet our mission of improving the quality of life for Georgetown County residents.

2.) We collaborate with partners in various initiatives, including Cradle to Career (C2C), Pathways 2 Possibilities (P2P), and an Internship program. Through C2C, we are working to create opportunity for young people by engaging businesses and other entities that are challenged to find the local workforce they need. The P2PSC Career Expo supports this effort, as does the Internship program.

3.) We build community by listening to, learning from, and serving our local nonprofits. We offer high-quality trainings, and we make available state-of-the-art meeting space. We help them broaden their fundraising reach through Palmetto Giving Day, and we supply expert facilitators to several collaborative efforts across the county.

Our Mission is:

To improve the quality of life for all Georgetown County residents by focusing in five areas:

This Event

Pathways 2 Possibilities is an interactive experience designed to help 8th graders link their passions to a paycheck. Professionals from 19 career pathways (aligned with the national and state department of education) have created hands-on experiences that will allow the students to experience these various fields. They will share what life is like in their jobs and the training and education that is required. We host 8th graders from ten counties (Clarendon, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Lee, Marion, Marlboro, and Williamsburg) over this two-day event.
